Today was the 40th Anniversary of the Ocean Beach sandcastle competition. It matches local school kids with Bay Area architectural and design professionals. There's some learning, some fundraising, and a lot of fun. Apparently the most fun is destroying your sandy creation the instant judging is completed. There were 40mph+ gusts forecast today, and I guess nobody wanted to hang around. I wasn't expecting the Burning Man ending to this event -- I'll have to get there earlier next year.
