San Francisco's building boom is more than just massive cranes building downtown skyscrapers. For generations in the Avenues, this was a set of two flats, each with off-street parking. The garage is now being converted into a rental unit. So instead of two households with parking, there'll be three households without it. This only works if you have a world-class public transit system. And we're not there yet. (Seen on outer Cabrillo.)
