Now On Display At The Zoo: People.

Updated: Mar 6, 2021

After months of closure, the San Francisco Zoo re-opened in February. It was all subject to Low-Touch/No-Touch COVID-era rules. But it was good to see parents and kids with something to enjoy again in the outdoors.

Words to live by.

The new pair of Timber Wolves enjoy a double-grotto suite at the zoo.

We're getting close. On Sloat.

We are VERY close to the zoo.

Just inside the front gates of the zoo. Where it's still Christmas, in February.

Giraffe bookends.

Huddle up, gorilla watchers. (Part of the COVID protocols.)

Penguin feeding time. They are the stinkiest animals in the zoo -- it's not even close.

An exhibit of the trees and plants of Madgascar.

Cute as hell. Until he starts to eat.

This koala bear would NOT face me. Apparently one of us had reason to be ashamed.

This fine specimen of peacock had the run of the zoo. Which must confuse the caged birds.

The "Little Puffer" scale steam locomotive. A local favorite for generations.
