These People Made Their Dough In SF.

San Francisco's Boudin Bakery originally created its Sourdough French bread for the 49ers -- the 1849 Gold Rush miners. Its bakery on 10th Avenue & Geary in the Richmond has been producing this tangy, sour, crunchy local favorite for over a century. Out front, bookending both sides of the driveway to their loading dock, are stamped the names of every longtime baker who's plied his or her craft there. They only stopped this practice about 10 years ago.
