The Welcome Tower.

This art installation outside the Ferry Building celebrates San Francisco's past, particularly as a sanctuary for society's dreamers and artists. And it bemoans the skyrocketing real estate values that now make it impossible for these people to live in the City today. The structure, inspired by Coit Tower, is made of reclaimed solid wood front doors from residences throughout San Francisco's neighborhoods.
