Tamara de Lempicka, AKA "The Queen of Art Deco." A bold, unique style well suited to her times. It seems to find the visual sweet spot between angles and curves. And it holds up well all these years later. So much good stuff in this new exhibit at the de Young. I'll go back before it closes to spend more time with this collection.

I believe these Art Deco era dresses came out of Tamara de Lempicka's personal wardrobe.

Tamara loved her Arum lillies, they appear frequently in her work.
This piece is large; its striking figure and bright color grab your eye from across the gallery.
I've titled this piece, "We'll see you in court!"
