The Great Depression Was A Day At The Beach.

This colorful mural is just one panel of many on the walls of the bottom floor of the Beach Chalet at Ocean Beach. It depicts San Francisco's coastal life during the early 1930's, with the original Mile Rock lighthouse, and a still under-construction Golden Gate Bridge. Just like today, people would escape the stress of every day life for the relaxation of the beaches and parks. And their picnic skills were off the chart.
