The Bridge Theater (On Geary near Masonic) opened in 1939. Its name, and international orange signage, was a nod to the newly opened Golden Gate Bridge. A single-screen theater, it seated approximately 350 people. For decades The Bridge was known citywide for its foreign and independent film offerings. It closed in 2012 and reopened as the SF Baseball Academy, complete with batting cages. Aspiring players as young as 4-years-old now develop their skills in the old theater.
Still Showing The Hits.
