The AMC 1000 multiplex, built on the site of the 1923 Don Lee Cadillac dealership, has suddenly closed. I think the stately interior deserved more than a taped-up 8.5"x11" computer printout, but there you go. New movie ownership, or a tower of condos? We'll see; the Geary & Van Ness location is quite prime.
