This week I started a job with the city. Human Services Agency/In-Home Supportive Services. I'll be doing clerical work related to helping the city's impoverished seniors and disabled stay in their homes. M-F 8-5 in offices near Van Ness and Mission. Below are some photos from this week...
I'm working close enough to City Hall to check it out during my lunch hour. This is part of a current display in the history museum section on the ground floor.
This will be my basic view for much of the week.
There is a bathroom scale next to the refrigerator in the employee kitchen. It mocks me.
The cubicle farm is typical, but the common area atrium is inspired.
The surrounding neighborhood is very much "in transition," with a lot of colorful murals.
Murals!
They've reopened City Hall to wedding parties. Most elegant face mask ever!
The return of Romance In The Rotunda.
Nice tile artwork on my floor at work.
Van Ness & Mission. One of the most dangerous intersections in the city. I'll be crossing it, carefully, several times a day.
