Mom was a native San Franciscan, born and raised. My parents met in SF, and after marrying they moved to the south bay to have a bunch of kids. Six qualifies as a bunch. She had a lifelong attachment to the city, and her favorite song was Tony Bennett's, "I Left My Heart In San Francisco." I'm quite fond of the tune myself, but more because for many years it's been played in-stadium after a local win by the San Francisco Giants.
