Old Cars. New Memories.

Welcome to the Old Car Picnic in Speedway Meadow of Golden Gate Park . Hundreds of vintage cars. Foreign and domestic, in every color, and every condition from meticulously restored to wildly customized. Like the Morris Minor below, originally a British economy car produced from 1948-1971. Somebody took this example and crammed an ungodly amount of horsepower into it. Which would've involved modifying everything else: frame, suspension, brakes... But you'll always be able to find it in the parking lot.

Combining your passions: vintage cars and SF Giants baseball.

The 1957 Chevy Belair just seems to go on and on.

Humorous detail atop a Hummer decked out in Military Police livery.

Custom interior on this antique truck. Very custom.

There were a few bikes.

Back in the day, this car would've fit right in at my high school parking lot.

In the 1980's you caught somebody in this, and transported them in a 4-door CHP cruiser.

Just a fraction of the large turnout.

1973 Camaro with custom headlights.

A lonely 1960's Dodge Dart convertible. Great reputation for reliability. Not sex appeal.

I don't know what to say about this late 1980s-early 1990s Lincoln.

Lowrider VW bugs are kind of a new thing for me.

This antique Packard is cool. Love the fat fender skirt and wide whitewall tires. I'm curious if the owner will keep it this way as a survivor, restore it, or customize it.

BMW Isetta. The ultimate driving machine 1955-1962. Relatively few made it to America.

1970s Mustang. You just don't see colors like this today. You can have black, white, or silver...

OK, this is an annual event so see you next year in Golden Gate Park!
