Auguste Rodin's classic sculpture, "The Thinker," was just one element of his unfinished monumental masterpiece, "The Gates Of Hell." It depicts a scene from the Inferno, the first section of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy . ( The courtyard of the Legion of Honor fine arts museum, SF.)
