California Street starts at the cable car turnaround next to the Embarcadero Hyatt Hotel. It cuts clear across San Francisco over Nob Hill, across Van Ness, and straight out the Avenues until it abruptly ends at California and 32nd Avenue. Where this grand staircase sits. These wild floral-themed green-and-yellow tiles are stunning. The staircase takes you up to Lincoln Park Golf Course (The former pioneer-era city cemetery for paupers.) Keep walking and eventually you reach the Legion of Honor fine arts museum.
